Meet the Movers

Tyler, one of the Owner/Operators of Mighty Moves, is a proud Richmond native with a background in healthcare. With a lifelong dream of starting his own business, Tyler turned that ambition into reality by launching Mighty Moves alongside his partner and lifelong friend, Mel.

Outside of work, Tyler thrives in competitive dirt biking, always on the lookout for the next challenging trail. He also enjoys working out in his home gym and playing spikeball with his friends. Tyler shares his life with his high school sweetheart and wife, Brianna, who supports him in all his endeavors, and his pet fish, Hodor & Minnie.

Mel, the other Owner/Operator of Mighty Moves, is a Richmond native and James Madison University grad with a rich background in healthcare and tech.

As a former high-school and collegiate wrestler, Mel loves giving back as a volunteer coach alongside his lifelong friend, former teammate, and now co-worker, Daniel. Together, they created some unforgettable moments and helped produce several state place winners.

When he’s not running the business, Mel is often hitting the weights, playing spikeball, or diving into some competitive gaming. At home, he shares his life with his high school sweetheart and wife, Rachel, and their pet dog, Arlo.

John is a key part of the Mighty Moves team and proudly calls Ashland home. As our Operations Specialist, he brings consistency, energy, and a can-do attitude to every job and plays an important role in keeping our moves running smoothly.

When he’s not helping clients move, John runs his own landscaping business. He’s a big fan of dirt bikes and BMX biking, always up for some outdoor adventure. John is also a dedicated dad to his two sons, Josh and Jacob, and loves coaching Josh’s youth league soccer team. Plus, as Tyler’s brother-in-law, he’s a trusted member of the family and the team.

John’s passion for family, community, and adventure makes him an awesome addition to the Mighty Moves team.

Alongside John, Hassaun also serves as an Operations Specialist, bringing his own blend of experience, reliability, and leadership to Mighty Moves. A lifelong friend of owners Mel and Tyler, Hassaun grew up in Richmond and pairs his local roots with extensive hands-on experience as an accomplished home exterior contractor.

When he’s not leading moves, Sean enjoys gaming, riding his dirt bike, and spending time outdoors camping. His diverse skill set, strong work ethic, and long-standing connection with the team make him a valuable part of Mighty Moves.

Meet Daniel, our Moving Solutions Specialist at Mighty Moves. He’s the mastermind behind creating smooth and efficient moving plans, making sure everything goes off without a hitch. Daniel has been a lifelong friend of our owners, Mel and Tyler, so you could say he’s part of the family!

Outside of work, Daniel channels his passion into his hobbies. He’s a volunteer wrestling coach, and he enjoys crafting unique projects with his plasma table. His love for Jeeps and off-roading is a big part of his life, and he often spends weekends tubing or kayaking on the James River.

Daniel shares his life with his dog, Gus, and his girlfriend, Brittany. His energy, expertise, and enthusiasm make him a fantastic part of the Mighty Moves team.

Chris, our Senior Crew Lead and Packing Specialist, has deep roots in Highland Springs. With a lifetime of experience as a contractor, Chris brings a wealth of skills and a hands-on approach to every move.

Outside of work, Chris is a dedicated dad to his three kids: Heather, Tyler, and Haley. He’s also an avid dirt bike enthusiast and loves camping out in nature. If we ever break anything while moving, you can count on Chris to fix it—he’s got a knack for handling just about anything!

Chris’s blend of experience, family values, and love for the outdoors makes him a fantastic addition to the Mighty Moves team.

Taylor is a valued Mover and Fleet Technician at Mighty Moves. A proud graduate of VCU, he hails from Richmond, VA, and brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Taylor is also a talented fabricator and welder, ensuring our equipment is always in top shape.

When he’s not working, Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife, Vic, and their daughter, Lucy. He loves riding dirt bikes and camping in the mountains, blending his passion for adventure with quality family time. His blend of technical skills and enthusiasm for the job makes him an invaluable part of the team.

Creed is a powerhouse and valued mover for Mighty Moves. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Creed is a professional dirt bike rider and has a passion for mountain biking. When he’s not tearing up the trails, he’s enjoying a strong cup of coffee, his favorite fuel for both work and play.

Creed is a proud graduate of Liberty University and is currently pursuing his MBA, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. At home, he enjoys the company of his dog, Mocha, who shares in his adventures.

With his blend of athletic skills, academic dedication, and love for coffee, Creed brings a unique spark to every move he undertakes.

Stone is a dedicated mover from Highland Springs, Virginia, and an experienced fireman with a strong work ethic. A former wrestling teammate of Daniel and Mel, he brings that same discipline and teamwork to every job.

Outside of work, Stone is a proud father to his 4-year-old son, Beau. A true hobby man, he enjoys everything from caring for plants and solo traveling to hiking, running, and even crafting Beau’s Halloween costumes.

Brianna is the heart behind the scenes at Mighty Moves, offering constant encouragement and support to Tyler and the entire team. A Richmond native with a warm and driven spirit, she brings balance, creativity, and positivity to everything she does.

When she’s not emailing you all or cheering on the Mighty Moves crew, Brianna loves cozy nights in, enjoying Mexican food, and relaxing with Tyler and their two fish, Hodor & Minnie.

Austin was born and raised in Hanover, just outside of Richmond. As a dedicated mover, he brings unmatched energy and enthusiasm to every job, making him a key part of our crew.

When he’s not helping clients with their moves, you’ll probably find him in the gym, pushing himself just as hard as he does on the job.
